Es difícil de creer pero es cierto. La ciencia ficción hace posible lo imposible y en el mercado editorial ha hecho que lo que estaba muy mal mejore exponencialmente. Un buen ejemplo de ello es el presentado por Alejo Cuervo, dueño de la Editorial Gigamesh. Tanto la editorial como al propio Alejo Cuervo, la ciencia ficción ha sido un gran flotador que les ha salvado la vida. Actualmente Gigamesh tiene los derechos de edición en castellano de las obras de George R.R. Martín, autor por si no lo conocéis de la famosa obra de La Canción del Hielo y Fuego, o lo que es lo mismo, autor de los libros de la serie Juego de Tronos. Aún sin la expectación que ha levantado el lanzamiento de la serie, la obra de George R.R. Martin era un bestseller, según el propio Alejo Cuervo, antes de la serie, ya se había vendido más de 300.000 ejemplares, hecho que para una pequeña editorial es algo insólito e inusual.
