Un 29 de septiembre de 1964 una niña curiosa e irreverente irrumpió en el día a día de muchas personas que encontraron en Mafalda una forma desenfadada de hacer frente a los problemas que el mundo nos plantea. La primera tira del personaje de Quino cumple hoy 50 años y aunque fue pensada para un folleto de electrodométicos vio la luz en la revista Primera Plana. Quino fue reconocido este mismo año con el Premio Príncipe de Asturias.
